MEM 10th Birthday Bash

Music Export Memphis will celebrate a decade of making Memphis a city of choice for musicians at a free, public Birthday Bash on Saturday, July 25 at W.C. Handy Park on historic Beale Street!

The Birthday Bash is being made possible by generous support and partnership from the Downtown Memphis Commission. The event will run from 2 to 7 p.m., featuring DJ sets by South Memphis Jeff and DJ Rhinestonee, presented in partnership with WYXR, as well as live music by Black Cream, Keia Johnson, Deonna Sirod, Nick Black, Raneem Imam, Optic Sink and Hi Rhythm featuring Jerome Chism and Lina Beach. Food and drink will be available for purchase, and MEM is filling the plaza with partners who have helped the organization show off the best of Memphis over the last ten years, including Amurica Photo, WYXR, the Memphis Grizzlies, and more to be announced. Also on hand to experience will be the Music Export Memphis Lovebug Vinyl Listening Lounge, an immersive vinyl listening experience in a 1973 Lovebug trailer, created with support from Mempho Presents and in partnership with Memphis Record Pressing, Egglestonworks Speakers, David Quarles IV/Studio 417 Interiors, and Caleb Sweazy Woodworking.

The event is open and free to attend, but attendees who RSVP in advance will be entered to win a VIP experience at an upcoming Music Export Memphis event, as well as a branded MEM supporter tote bag filled with tee shirts and other merch!

Parking is plentiful near Beale Street downtown, including two garages on Peabody Place within one block's walk from Handy Park. We encourage you to bring blankets and chairs!
